why do religious people lie, SO MUCH?

we know why religious people are motivated to lie- it is for the purpose of their faith that motivates them to say stuff. sometimes we can catch the lie and others are harder to notice so instead we must approach different they must claim with support so we caqn catch the lies or else it is as if they did not speak. an unsupported claim  is like silence and can be refuted the same.
a  jewish book i read recently claims over 66% of scientists believe in god.
this lie of course serves the purpose of making religion less gross.
over 66 percent? jesus christ !!
luckily it had a footnote or we could dismiss the baseless claim as"just  another" religious trick.
the rabbi wrote of "scientists in general" claiming over two thirds are theists.
on page 49 of rabbi book the footnote as ignorant of academic tyle has only title and author.
we know that LESS THAN HALF are theists of any kind from that same source Ecklunde, revealing the lie. MOST scientists EVEN westerners enveloped by christianity, are not theists since

I accuse the rabbi of lying about ecklund and hiding the agnostic group who deny god with certainty because we cannot  asses imaginary god yet are not atheists.

consider the millions of chinese scientists not soaked SOAKED in christianity the way westerners
CONSIDER WESTERNERS WERE TOLD AS A CHILD THERE IS SANTA CLAUS AND GOD
and at that young age when kids believe BOTH the faith was inserted and can linger obviously and NO WONDER THE FAITH LINGERED IT WAS INSERTED NOT DISCOVERED.
so they have lied and will lie but  they lie SO MUCH makes me feel sick.
