the third major change was to repave the windy streets that had been made around building in very elongated curves increasing travel time. instead a net literally a net of straight street lines was carved through buildings causing pragmatuc and efficient driving. now carla used these new flatter roads and bridges to arrive very soon at the nitch.
the parking lot had been enlarged to replace more old buildings that were empty due to the mass deaths in the civil war when the house of lords voted on the use of poison gas. we were ready and as soon as our generals heard that a cloud of fog was spreading across london they released the nutralizer and our engineered virus for which we had all been vax as soon as our army shot the first rifles.
their army was decimated despite calling reserves and in the weeks until they found a drug to ease the fatal symptoms the illness had spread all around britain. barely ten percent the most adapted and young people survived all the old people over age forty died the first day of the infection, which includde all the parliament and the king and queen. both houses were empty and no elections were arrangd due to the war and the deaths. the population of london dropped that day from five million in the city north of temz that we renamed trump town to honor the politician who had dared to touch the "royal" person, instead of london, the poison gas killed almost everybody including all of our generals in that area in just one day only half million survived at the city edges when we sprayed the chemical nutralizer.
similarly our virus killed all the old people who could not fight the virus and most of the kids under age twelve too the population of the isle dropped in one day from 72 million to 30 million and our virus continued to kill more and more until the traditionalists surrendered agreeing to divide east briton along the north bank of the thames and extending noth and east while they preserved south london and the territory of wales. the distant nephew of the dead quenn inherited the throne and decreed no replacing the house of commons nor lords. he and his team of laywers started the "freedom" by deleting most of the traditional laws and replacing them with simpler restrictions.
general borski had fled the soviet union with the poweful virus that his department had developed in case of war with nato. we granted him entry in exchange for the sample to prepare an antidote against s.u. back in 1987. since then s.u. crumbled but borski had convinved the high staff to continue the genetic programming in case war would break out. it was even borski's idea to replace the royal family with a republic... he had arranged like minded generals in the "royal" air force to prepare the civil war and fatalize the virus just in case the royalists used their poison gas which he knew about due to his high rank. therefore we were prepared with the counter spray.
so that is how we arrived quickly by car despite our youth on a straight street to the nitch.
crla and i alternated solving the problems while the other watched and commented. she had good ideas for short cuts but often confused the digits that she spoke but wrote different ones so we were a great team.
