major news: suspicious packages came to the criticisers of trump - what is the profile of the sender? where does the evidence point-
the bombs did not explode indicating the sender is not a bomb expert and in fact did not want to hurt the recipient- so logically it must be sent to hilary and other dem's by a pro-hilary- in an attempt to... ONLY harm somebody else.
by making a common denominator "recipients who criticised trump" we see both that the person loved those who criticised trump enuf to send a non-deadly package while revealing the desire to make the republicans look bad- same as kavanough accusations. that is precisely what the dem's have done. to harm the trump-followers but not to harm his/her own team of democrat party.
i reject the idea of a muslim sending it although logic "even democrats deserve jihad bombs despite not being pro-israel as trump- still for for rejecting muhanmed" because altho this logc is sound experience in bombs in arab countries do explode from IDE to busses in jerusalem tel; avivb and haia the fact is muslims succeed at bomb detonation so these must have been sent by the "same team" proving these are not from muslims but from democrats who do not want to harm "their own' and do want to "harm the reputation of pro-trump" which was precisely the "modus a[pparande' of the method dem's have already used against kavanough reputation done by.... guess who?

dear diary - ants
dear diary,
recently i saw a rare occurrence for the first time in around five years. it just seemed to be motion on the door of a cabinet and then i turned my head and saw one ant on it. that alerted me to open the cabinet and see what the ant was after... yes a long row of ants marching along the front of the food cabinet pantry. what could they want? every container was closed.
first i grabbed the soft-plastic honey bottle and washed the outside then i flipped open the flip-lid and there they were... somehow four ants had squeezed between the flip-lid and the lid. so i rinsed the flip lid and stood the bottle in a rectangular plastic "microwave heater pan" so others would not climb in.
next to deal with the invaders.
i emptied all my stuff out of the cabinet and wiped the ants out with a rag. last i sprayed the edges of the cabinet-joint [ i mean mathematical edge of two intersecting-plane-s] with bug chemical and waited.

i was walking to a neighbor as a child and saw white ice cream melting on the cement path leading from the car to the home door. so when i was invited in i told them that ice cream is melting so they said they will take care of it in a few minutes. then they invited my to watch t-v which was good bkuz my parents told me [a lie] that our tv was broken... only years later i took it from the closet and it worked revealing the dirty lie to prevent me from "enjoying things every normal kid is allowed" to enjoy. at least at the neighbors house i watched tv i remember watching a rerun of classic batman.
at the end of the episode i awoke and recalled the ice cream melting so i called the host and we looked at the melting ice cream together and by now a swarm of ants was all over and around the white liquid ice cream. she went inside and soon a few minutes later brought boiling water and poured it all over the pile of ice cream and ants. they stopped moving instant death. so from then on when i saw anthills on my lawn i would boil water and pour it on the ant hills. this time they were in a cabinet so they were spared the hot water. hopefully they will bring the spray back to their home and the other ants will all be poisoned because there are just so many of them and they get into food and sugar and stuff. and they are far from extinction to the point of being pets keep two in a jar and kill all the rest.

that was an exciting game full of good tension as each team crept forward with points. los angeles dodgers crept forward with a "ball over the wall" and then another point to "tie" 2-2 with good tension.
then boston crept a point and la caught up until boston got 2 more points and eventually a 3 run homer in 7 so boston team red sox winning [final score as everybody knows] so boston won the first of the series both are very skilled teams!

BASEBALL the american world series is NEAR
a series of BASEBALL games will begin this near week. it will be especially exciting because the teams are the winning team of the "national leag" championship [still unknown] facing the winning team of the "american leag" championship.
until now the two best teams [as defined by number of wins] in al and nl played each other.
1 in alphabetical order first al.
the al championship was a series of games (called playoffs but) officially they are CHAMPIONSHIP games. between boston and huoston teams.
boston team won 4 of the 7 games achieving the leag championship. they are champions - of the leag. also they will face the champion of the other leag in the american baseball "world series".
the team "astros" had 6 players good enuf for the allstar game last july while red sox had 5 players good enuf quality enuf to qualify and play in all-star game on july 17. together and with other players from the al, the al team won the all-star game- but that is just background for this. in the championship games boston team won 4 so decided. they are so good that makes the game exciting bkuz the best are playing.

the nl championship continues bkuz yesterday milwaukee team won!
the los-angeles dodgers had already won 3 games and were hoping to win the 4 but lost to mil. now the number of games is 3=3 so they play again to decide the championship winner.... who will face the al champion between the champion of each leag.
in the nl championship there were fewer players from these teams in the allstar game in july.
dodgers had 3 players good enuf for allstar while mil. brewers 5=same as red sox above.
3 the results in the al championship were: even the 6 great players of the huoston team could not win the boston team so boston won championship.
period. also as al-champ they will face the nl-champ in the 'world series" which begins in a few days so that will be exciting bkuz they are the best.

fence "good" but wall "immoral"??
so the main difference between obama democrat border-policy to trump's is that obama built a FENCE so was that "immoral" to separate countries with a fence? why did obama not STOP THE IMMORAL FENCE?
the facts as abc news reports "much of 700 miles was built in obama administration"-- hmm... so Obama also divided... could the difference be that "anything trump said is bad" while obama "quote did nothing wrong"?

*1 improvement 1 building troops is ALWAYS in the nations capital unless they build a factory therefore the no set-up factories on the map this saves a bit of setup time bkuz no factories nor useless anti-air guns in preparation until built during turn.
if no factories where build warplanes? only in capital until build factory which can be built in any region as an exception so later build forces at factory or capital. this small improvement is magnifiedd by other improvements
*2 in reality battleships were not effective and certainly not justly classed as probability 4/6 so no battleship marker for anybody in fact the only nation which has more than ten battleships was japan and if they "deserev" only 2 markers that shows a marker is a symbol of 5 or 6 if so no ally had ehnuf battleships for a marker! w had lost battleships and even in spring had less than 5 in pacific so no marker! and combine with reality that not effective even in second wave of pearl harbor battle when expecting and many guns certainly not a separate marker and certainly not 4/6 probability so no nation gets any battle-ship marker not even japan which deserves it iunstead less set-up and no building ba. either for anybody instead the "transport" marker includes the unmarked battleships inckluded in the probability 2/6 and only for defense but for attacks only 'allows' landing from sea. not effective to kill troops in bunkers. so no set up of battle-ship markers nor factory markers. this set-up is imporved with next third time saver-

dear diary best holiday
question: as a child what was your and your parents childhood favorite holiday with its best memory?
my parents childhood best holiday was halloween each would buy the costume that they wanted each year on condition that she would stay at home and only eat one candy like a home costume party. dad went to collect candy with his older brother who stole his bag every year but at least he had fun going around.
my favorite holiday? as a child each special day was ruined by my parents making crazy meal changes.
they were too stingy to buy me costumes for halloween and jewish halloween too! despite they enjoyed costumes in their childhood.
so each holiday was ruined instead special day was the first day of summer vacation but i wnt to a summer camp with mean brast so just as bad as school.
what is left? no happy memory? at all? ah there was a special "yard" carnival when a neighbor had challenge booths and we played challenge games like shoot cand;les with water-gun. and trying to slide a wire-ring on a wire attached to a buzzer i failed but it was a good challenge i also was only allowed one ticket ny my stingy parents so i choose the wore instead of the candles.
other kids had more bfun but at least i ghad a bit of fumn. i coulda ad more fuin if they were less stingy and treated me like kids are usualy treated. with costumes on halloween or at least jewishj halloween. the rich have costume parties often and middle class only once a year so why not once a year? the other jewish holidays were ruined my parents ruined meal time on jewish passover and other days were "same' not joy but too mucjh boring religious reading and same for "weeks" and other festivals. booths except booths i was scared of th ebees or shivered from cold outdoors when booths was in late october. even hanuka they ruined so nothing left except the bneighbors yard gfames.

the facts about democrat presidents
after 4 years of democratic president in 1980 the dem's publuiisheed a very stupid platform and no surprise that a republican won the vote in 1980.
the platform admitted the 4 years they had failed to fix problems what a stupid thig to write and they blame the rprevious republicns despite having a couple years to change policy.
the VERY FIRST idea in dem's goal in 1980 was the "loan rate of interest" yes truly a problem in 1980 the real issue is a much greater problem...
the democ-rats stated a goal for "lower interest rates while in actions they raised interest rates four years in a row! what a bunch of democ-rats!
the facts are the democrats appealed to the people about "low interet rates" because that is where they failed and people were concerned yet as soon as the interest rates jumped in 1978 from 9% to 11% for loan interest did the democrats show that was important? no the interest rate rose more in 1979 that was empty words the public would not be fooled and the voters chose republican because they were not decieved by the democrat after watching them show "just how important' or truly unimportant the intyerest rates of laons were with policies that raised the interest rates. so words sound good in 1980 but the public saw actions that policies of dem's RAISED interest rates on loans... from 9% to 11% so they were not fooled.
we compare to the republican altho the first year of regan the rate rose again the trend changed direction and in contrast to dems failing fior 4 years as they admit in the 1980 platform despite 4 years to adjust policies... the public sw the trick of blaming prevbious rep's- and in contrast the republican was the one who DID CHANGE the policy which caused the lowering of interest rates the so-called words stated goal of dem's -not done in actin by dme's who in action caused rising but the republican he changed the trend and in second year we se the effects of policy caused a DROP from 15% to 14% and over time by 1985 back to 11% and even 9% in 1987 like before the harmful policies of carter the democ-rat.

the real characteristic of dems is PAY FOR FOREIGN ABORTION and after regan rep. cancelled the policy each dem president said spend american taxes on foriegn abortion that is the characteristic of of dems and that is stupic because they should not be paying for any abortion domestuc nor foriegn while rep consistently said america should not pay for foreign abortion and behold... with less money going out to pay fr abortions and more money coming in from "so-called-bad" tarrifds... which bring money to government - the same reason aother ountries charge tarrifs... now the salaries can pay less to govermnment because government incomne increases frm tarriff and expence decreases becauise less paying for foriegn abortions so we see trump truly understands money... and that i was never ever a dem and that they have been trying to mislead the public for decades wjhile actions and words do not macth in samople year 1980 and the dems goal was acheived by the rep president in 1985-1987.

we use the wrd sea for smaller places than oceans yet the correct use of sea is for "total water' so "the sea" includes all the oceans which are parts of the one sea. so med is not really "sea" because sea includes atlantic and apacific ocean it is truly a gulf with narrow opening so nile gulf!

when i see the water names there are several problems
for example naming shared water for any country is bad whether mexico or china or japan or any country
also most "seas" are not only "not separate" but worse are not "helpful" if i need help icome save me n "sea like adriatic sea" too long to know location because they are many hundreds of square kilometers and do not assist any search anyway jsut adding useless burden and truly a bay between peninsulas.

fourth republican in a row!
hilary clinton received 3 million more votes than trump... wikipedia emphasizes this in the "data box" and i will tell you all "why they emphasize this irrelevant idea..." in truth there is no "real" vote called popular vote instead each state has its minority rejected.
there is no tallying separate states together because they are separate states. the emphasis on the fake "popular vote " is only just because... the fourth time in a row the dem's lost as a result of the system. SORE LOSERS.
recently a comedian pointed this out... trump lost the popular vote... as if that was real... but there are 50 states not one alone!
logically if most of each state vote "the same" then that would also be most of the total, however the country is not one "state" of california but 50 states and each one has its minority rejected.
so if california has 11 million people and most vote hilary that is worth 55 votes of electors because the people are voting "the direction that their state electors should vote" not directly for president but instead for the direction fo each states electors... only the losers want direct- because they are sore losers and i will explain why they are unjust. simply blinded by wanting to win.

the dem's continue to be sore losers
when an abolitionist criticised slavery in southern states- which the north never forbade- a democrat congressperson deciede he would be the "judge to punish" the words which bothered him and hit the abolitinist.
the truth is southern states were allowe slavery and even the new territories had a compromise since 1820 that southern coulkd have slavery so why seceded? i thought to preserve slavery but that was protected...
the secession was when the REPUBLICAN won the presidency and the dem's refused to accept that so they seceded from the uniion. jesus christ !!
now when we consider that the people had already voted to join the union then that is :"not represebnting the people" to secedde and only being sore losers for losing the el;ections in our decade whne mrs. clintonm lost she continued the dem's style and attacked trump for months after the election same as a sore loser childs.
finally kavanough was affirmed "despite" the one nominating was trump... the democ-rats respected the process? no they want to impeach kavn. the same sore losers who caused the cibil war which wasnot about slavery the south was alloewed slavery... even the territoies were allowed slavery but the pronlem was a republicn won the oresidency and the dem's lost and that is what sore losers do...

donkey or elephant?
the democrat symbol is donkey i am surprised that the minority ethnicity "called dark skin" gave obama a second term considering the stats of black unemployment in 2007, obama could have done whatever trump is doing now to cause black unemployment to drop. did he? nope... but they were blinded by obama skin color and did not care that he could have helped them and did not.
until 1992 i did not bother about elections. but as bush ran for re-election in 1992 and the rabbi told us orthodox jews to vote clinton i was baffled by the hypocrisy of the rabbis.
i had differed with the jewish leaders on the issue of gentile-abortion.
i believed as the jewish source called mishna "defines" life as breathing therefore both jew and gentile can kill a fetus which does not yet breathe! yet the rabbis taught that only a jew can kill a fetus [necause it is not born yet] in contrast to a gentile who does an abortion deserves the death penalty from the rabbis- as in rabbinic talmud sanhedrin 57b- if so clinton who encouraged gentile abortion in mexico and internationally was not a match for rabbi policy yet the rabbis hypocritically supported clinton. i could support clinton.... because the fetus does not breathe...
but in 1993 clinton started funding international abortion!

OTHER HUMANS ALREADY know and preserved the data which i only "saw" this week. the names of cities: "aukland" in new zealand and oakland in california are covert preservations of the name of the "rock" from which humans on this planet "Earth" came.
recently i was the receiver of a group of several signals and using dice as prescribed in the signal-message i corroborated the few clearer signals for the name of the source of life on this planet.
the first signal was clearest and grabbed my attention.... the first sound in the name is similar to english "a" corroborated with a dice role as instructed and when i rolled the dice the truth was it was showing one dot.... and that made me take the signal seriously so i continued... despite the results DIFFERING from my personal prejudice as below, still i did not waver.
following dice-shows, as prescribed in the signals, were foreign to the english pattern and described a six-letter name whose letter had few vowels...."a-w-w-x-l-_" i was hoping for more vowels even expecting like english as below yet my expectations did not match the results and i refused to tamper with the dice shows despite the probable that the second letter after a vowel is often a vowel... like the words: "human preserve name" and common proper names "flOrIdA vIrgInIa etc." but i did not tamper because i wanted to know the message-
so after 4 letters in a row with no vowel, the signal showed an image the last letter is "e" and the dice showed 2=the second vowel corroborating that the rock has a name parallel to the english sound "awwxle" which brought to mind "aukland" and more importantly in the style of "italian" for a person born in italy we are "awwxle-an" ancestry and auxle-an is even closer in sound to the covert names aukland and oakland as above which were covertly adjusted to "go under the radar" until more humans were "ready" to be informed.. the timing decide by those who sent me the signals that it is now the time to inform people and what data to publish.

making fractions understandable- dividing fractions
introduction to dividing fractions
when do i ever need that? the students protest.
even if we assume we will never use it, later, still this provides future options and all students must have options so it is in the curriculum. equal opportunity for all students you cannot be lazy.
so firstly the students DO NEED IT NOW for school. it is in the curriculum because it prepares for advanced math but also in recipe word problems and doing recipes-for example:
a recipe which is for 6 people and uses 6 potatoes and half cup of flour. what if i only cook for myself and my wife? altho easy to divide the six potatoes.... but i do not want to use too much flour!
so can we use a calculator for dividing 1/3? nope. i tried it. (the calculator answers show both division and multiplication have the same answer but we know that they are not the same. i tried it 1/3 / 1/3 the issue is the calculator is computing whole numbers)
so- how do we solve it?
Lesson one:
1.1
we begin with the obvious simple idea first. we know any number divided by itself the answer is one.
for example 2/2=_? 3/3=_? we can use the calculator for the whole numbers and see the number divided by itself the answer called "quotient- the same as in "IQ" the q means quotient- is one.
therefore obviously a fraction divided by itself for example "one third divided by one third" [using the symbol : below, as in other books] must also be one and still what is the meaning? by knowing the meaning we can compute 1/3:1/2 and 1/2:1/3 and identify the difference.
PART 1.2
we will learn a new meaning for the : symbol meaning divide [commonly written as "vertical pair" two dots and a line between them or simply : because keyboards only have : and yes the symbol for ratio which is : has the same meaning but that is another topic so i will not demonstrate that here]
a smart good way to teach division is by writing the LARGER number first on the left of the smaller number and only later the smaller number [will be first on the left].
after you know 8:2=_? means a group of 8 if divided into 2 GROUPS each group must be? the answer is 4, because equal groups [and sometimes a remainder]
we will learn an additional meaning the same numbers IN THE SAME ORDER means to ask "how much or many" of the RIGHT SIDE NUMBER can FIT INTO the other number.
for example 8:2 same as above, has an additional meaning asking "the group of 2 [written second and appearing on the right side] fits inside 8 must be_?
the answer is the same number 4 times. the same numbers with two meanings.
we need to use the second meaning for fractions so we must practice it.
8:2 means a group of 2 marbles or a twin-pack of pudding FITS INSIDE 8 must be_? 4 because four times like filling four twin-packs of cupcakes as we are familiar totals 8.
we can use this idea for:
*smaller number written first on the left side-
not 8:2 as above but instead 2:8 which means a different idea.
note: this differs from multiplication when we can swap the order and sometimes should swap the order, because only in multiplication the totals are the same 2*4=4*2 but changing the order in division truly changes the meaning and we cannot swap the order as i will explain.
the SMALLER NUMBER first on the left for example
2:12 [in division! not on a clock!] means how much/many of "the number on the right twelve" fits inside the other smaller number? must be less than one so how much? only one sixth fits inside.
practice USING A CALCULATOR.
a. 2:4=_?
b. 4:2=_?
not the same!
in question a, "how much of 4 fits into 2" we understand not even once so less than once [only half fits into it.] we see that 2:4 is not the same as 4:2 and even in multiplication only the 'total is the same" but the meaning is different see endnote, later.
practice [NOW NO HELP CALCULATOR]
c. 12:6=_? means to ask 6 [the number on our right side] FITS INSIDE 12_?
the solution is twice like two of the common and familiar six-packs.
however when we write the SMALLER NUMBER first on the left the meaning is DIFFERENT.
d. 6:12=_? this means how much from the right-side-number 12, fits inside it? it does not fit but a portion of it fits. so the answer is "half" 6:12=1/2
e. 2:12 meaning to ask "how much 12 fits into 2"?
less than one group of 12 the answer is one sixth. 6:12=1/6
after this introduction using "whole" numbers we can use this idea for FRACTIONS
PART 3
remember the two meanings:
20:10=2 can mean break the 20 into ten equal parts so each is 2 and an additional meaning the number TEN on the RIGHT fits inside TWENTY, how many times_? the same number with another meaning.
similarly, when the smaller number is written first:
f. 10:20 means the number on the right 20, how many of it fits into 10? so we understand that in division the order changes the meaning and we cannot switch the order the way we can in multiplication. 10:20 does not fit... not even once but how much of it fits?
only HALF fits into 10 so when we type the smaller number first in a calculator the answer is less than one because it does not fit even once. the answer is 0.5 half fits in.
now that we have demonstrated the idea in whole numbers and used the calculator we can proceed to fractions a subject which calculators are not built for.
PART 4
similarly for questions which the calculator is not built for 2/3:1/3 "two thirds divided by one third" using : as the divide symbol, means THE NUMBER ON THE RIGHT 1/3 that fraction fits inside the fraction 2/3 and we know it fits twice because there are two "thirds" so 2/3:1/3=2 but what is the meaning?
a portion which is one-third can fit 2 times in 2/3 because there are 2. it is like 2:1 without the denominators BECAUSE THIS TIME the denominator IS THE SAME IN EACH FRACTION. [for that we can use the calculator 2/1 and see it fits twice but for the fractions however the calculator will not show. i checked for you to save time and it showed something else and the issue is as above].
until now we have covered 1/3:1/3 same and the larger number left 2/3:1/3 so next is:
PART 5
now we write the smaller number FIRST on the left
1/3:2/3=_? the meaning changes. the number on the right 2/3 how many of them fit into 1/3?
less than once but how much? only half fits so the solution [called quotient like "IQ" means quotient] is half so 1/3:2/3=1/2 meaning "half" fits INSIDE as above only half.
since this time the denominator is the same it is like 1:2 the answer is less than one. in other words
since the denominator is the same it is similar idea to 1:2
note: in some calculators using / as soon as you type 1/2 you see appears 1/2 which is already the answer too. 1/2 is a half and 1:2 is a half therefore 1/3:2/3 =1/2
we have already used the calculator above but for this it is not built. end lesson one
lesson 2 is for different deniominators but the ide is "how much of the fraction fits in the other fraction" as above. you will use the idea of common denominator which you alreadyt learned for adding fractions and then once they are the same denominator use the method above so actualy no need for lesson 2!
end-note about multiplication 2*3=3*2 but not the same meaning

so we see a minor difference between 6*2=2*6 altho the total is the same number still the idea is different

when do i ever need that? the students protest.
even if we assume we will never use it, later, still this provides future options and all students must have options so it is in the curriculum. equal opportunity for all students you cannot be lazy.
so firstly the students DO NEED IT NOW for school. it is in the curriculum because it prepares for advanced math but also in recipe word problems and doing recipes-for example:
a recipe which is for 6 people and uses 6 potatoes and half cup of flour. what if i only cook for myself and my wife? altho easy to divide the six potatoes.... but i do not want to use too much flour!
so can we use a calculator for dividing 1/3? nope. i tried it. (the calculator answers show both division and multiplication have the same answer but we know that they are not the same. i tried it 1/3 / 1/3 the issue is the calculator is computing whole numbers)
so- how do we solve it?
Lesson one:
1.1
we begin with the obvious simple idea first. we know any number divided by itself the answer is one.
for example 2/2=_? 3/3=_? we can use the calculator for the whole numbers and see the number divided by itself the answer called "quotient- the same as in "IQ" the q means quotient- is one.
therefore obviously a fraction divided by itself for example "one third divided by one third" [using the symbol : below, as in other books] must also be one and still what is the meaning? by knowing the meaning we can compute 1/3:1/2 and 1/2:1/3 and identify the difference.
PART 1.2
we will learn a new meaning for the : symbol meaning divide [commonly written as "vertical pair" two dots and a line between them or simply : because keyboards only have : and yes the symbol for ratio which is : has the same meaning but that is another topic so i will not demonstrate that here]
a smart good way to teach division is by writing the LARGER number first on the left of the smaller number and only later the smaller number [will be first on the left].
after you know 8:2=_? means a group of 8 if divided into 2 GROUPS each group must be? the answer is 4, because equal groups [and sometimes a remainder]
we will learn an additional meaning the same numbers IN THE SAME ORDER means to ask "how much or many" of the RIGHT SIDE NUMBER can FIT INTO the other number.
for example 8:2 same as above, has an additional meaning asking "the group of 2 [written second and appearing on the right side] fits inside 8 must be_?
the answer is the same number 4 times. the same numbers with two meanings.
we need to use the second meaning for fractions so we must practice it.
8:2 means a group of 2 marbles or a twin-pack of pudding FITS INSIDE 8 must be_? 4 because four times like filling four twin-packs of cupcakes as we are familiar totals 8.
we can use this idea for:
*smaller number written first on the left side-
not 8:2 as above but instead 2:8 which means a different idea.
note: this differs from multiplication when we can swap the order and sometimes should swap the order, because only in multiplication the totals are the same 2*4=4*2 but changing the order in division truly changes the meaning and we cannot swap the order as i will explain.
the SMALLER NUMBER first on the left for example
2:12 [in division! not on a clock!] means how much/many of "the number on the right twelve" fits inside the other smaller number? must be less than one so how much? only one sixth fits inside.
practice USING A CALCULATOR.
a. 2:4=_?
b. 4:2=_?
not the same!
in question a, "how much of 4 fits into 2" we understand not even once so less than once [only half fits into it.] we see that 2:4 is not the same as 4:2 and even in multiplication only the 'total is the same" but the meaning is different see endnote, later.

c. 12:6=_? means to ask 6 [the number on our right side] FITS INSIDE 12_?
the solution is twice like two of the common and familiar six-packs.
however when we write the SMALLER NUMBER first on the left the meaning is DIFFERENT.
d. 6:12=_? this means how much from the right-side-number 12, fits inside it? it does not fit but a portion of it fits. so the answer is "half" 6:12=1/2
e. 2:12 meaning to ask "how much 12 fits into 2"?
less than one group of 12 the answer is one sixth. 6:12=1/6
after this introduction using "whole" numbers we can use this idea for FRACTIONS
PART 3
remember the two meanings:
20:10=2 can mean break the 20 into ten equal parts so each is 2 and an additional meaning the number TEN on the RIGHT fits inside TWENTY, how many times_? the same number with another meaning.
similarly, when the smaller number is written first:
f. 10:20 means the number on the right 20, how many of it fits into 10? so we understand that in division the order changes the meaning and we cannot switch the order the way we can in multiplication. 10:20 does not fit... not even once but how much of it fits?
only HALF fits into 10 so when we type the smaller number first in a calculator the answer is less than one because it does not fit even once. the answer is 0.5 half fits in.
now that we have demonstrated the idea in whole numbers and used the calculator we can proceed to fractions a subject which calculators are not built for.
PART 4
similarly for questions which the calculator is not built for 2/3:1/3 "two thirds divided by one third" using : as the divide symbol, means THE NUMBER ON THE RIGHT 1/3 that fraction fits inside the fraction 2/3 and we know it fits twice because there are two "thirds" so 2/3:1/3=2 but what is the meaning?
a portion which is one-third can fit 2 times in 2/3 because there are 2. it is like 2:1 without the denominators BECAUSE THIS TIME the denominator IS THE SAME IN EACH FRACTION. [for that we can use the calculator 2/1 and see it fits twice but for the fractions however the calculator will not show. i checked for you to save time and it showed something else and the issue is as above].
until now we have covered 1/3:1/3 same and the larger number left 2/3:1/3 so next is:
PART 5
now we write the smaller number FIRST on the left
1/3:2/3=_? the meaning changes. the number on the right 2/3 how many of them fit into 1/3?
less than once but how much? only half fits so the solution [called quotient like "IQ" means quotient] is half so 1/3:2/3=1/2 meaning "half" fits INSIDE as above only half.
since this time the denominator is the same it is like 1:2 the answer is less than one. in other words
since the denominator is the same it is similar idea to 1:2
note: in some calculators using / as soon as you type 1/2 you see appears 1/2 which is already the answer too. 1/2 is a half and 1:2 is a half therefore 1/3:2/3 =1/2

lesson 2 is for different deniominators but the ide is "how much of the fraction fits in the other fraction" as above. you will use the idea of common denominator which you alreadyt learned for adding fractions and then once they are the same denominator use the method above so actualy no need for lesson 2!
