the "gods" of abraham isac and jacob

many people often claim that the original biblical faith was "one god" called monotheistic and the christians speak of singular "the god of abraham" while in fact both abraham and jacob used plural verbs.
the evidence shows that they used both plural and singular verbs in genesis, for example in genesis 35 "niglu" is a plural verb because jacob like abraham believed in many gods.
one way to believe what we are expected to believe can be to admit that genesis is a book which is unreliable and contains false details.
simply replace the "book of genesis" with a shorter version without that problematic plural verb and without other problems.
if the book were good, as the religious respond to efforts to reject genesis then, we should also believe the book and base faith on jacob the polytheist as the book "records". we may choose that the book is good and jacob was a polytheist and follow his gods or choose that the book is not reliable. if so then please stop investing time in preserving and teaching a bad book. english translations simply lie by hiding the plural verb and that is a bad translation which is supposed to translate what is truly in the text being translated. th truth is that god has both singular and plural verbs when refferring to all gods it is plural and when reffering to one of the many gods the verb is singular.
we may choose the book and base polytheism on the book or choose monotheism and reject the unreliable bad book called genesis. just one more of numerous reasons to reject the unreliable bad book of genesis.
