summary 1944 japanese war

INTRO TO 1944, until nov 22, 1943 the u.s. activity against japan was in the extremely limited area of the SOLOMON isle chain north from eastern australia. EVEN after japan started taking alutians in june '42, the priority was the BRIT isles called solomon rather than the danger nearing alaska. this showed the harm that the dumb dem dnc president desired for america and american lives.
the u.s. had done some defending at sea and used its planes for bombing but not wisely. consider the effects of sinking many japanese convoys BEFORE they strengthened the isles in the pacific ocean. consider causing the japs to scatter the japanese forces around its perimeter by using its existing planes and new products of industrial power against the one that attacked them japan... first and immediately instead of waiting almost TWO years after the attack of 1941 until end of 1943. as above end nov. '43 started pushing away from hawii in gilberts.
admittedly alutian was before this. still even alutian was delayed two months from june when the danger started until august... just long enuf to have the "commitment" to brits to help brit solomon isles INSTED of the u.s. strategic needs which were delayed by this commtment to allies who were not helping u.s. so what about the brit commitment to its ally u.s.?
instead an apt strategy would be to prioritize u.s. strategic needs instead of committing to allies who already succeeded at stopping nazis by moscow and stopping japanese in new gini without help.
before june the u.s. should not delay gilberts as dumb dem dnc delayed TWO years until end of 1943.  nor delay marshals until end feb' '44, due to dangerous airfield as i will explain.
from june when informed of danger to alaska the priority must be "sorry brits we cant help you yet" due to danger to alaska. the priority must be repel away from alaska immediately in july not wait for august and then claim oops in august we are helping the brit solomons... which was bad colonialism anyway. no reason for solomons to lack self rule. even saving natives from japan, instead of preserving bad colonialism, still cant be selfless when danger is moving nearer and nearer to alaska at attu and kiska... which i was too ignorant about until now while the army in 1942 was aware and informed. also the word "occupied" was tricky did that refer to "jap" who "occupy" the american isle adak? no the u.s. was truly "advancing westward" so not really "occupy" but "prepare" which they needed to do immediately in june '42.

1944

for background see endnote. finally over two years after the japanese attack in 1941, in 1944 the u.s. started expelling some of the japanese border isles. a significant victory in the end of feb. 1944 they "finally" took the DANGEROUS JAP airbase in eniw in kwaj in MARSHAL isles. which they should not have delayed at all and worse delaying due to the limited replies described in the background endnote in the limited area by solomon isles and by new guini. adnittedly by now they had repelled from alutians but even that waited until after strengthened as above.
in feb. '44 u.s. started expelling japs from marshal isles in the north west pacific but its southeastern corner. they had delayed over two years from pushing the japanese danger away from hawaii besides the GILBERT isle liberation after nearly two years of jap temporary occupation who had captured gilberts in "dec. '41" and had taken marshal from german empire in oct. 1914. u.s. president who was dumb dnc dem waited almost two years before liberating the gilberts granting plenty of time to the enemy who attacked u.s. for add defender soldiers and dig defenses etc. that would kill more u.s. soldiers.
what about admiralty? a large island by the coast of junea alaska admiralty... were japanese there? ah they meant islands again near NEW GUINEA=new gini helping the brits before their own needs... which seems "selfless" but truly is dumb and dangerous in a war when you need to help yourself, not bad selfishness during danger, unless your own citizens are worthless as shown in action by dumb dnc dem president.
that cold hearted tradition continued with obama and now president biden preserving the bad and dumb dnc dem policy.
similarly scho' is north west from n.g. using and risking american lives for others insted of its own needs during dangerous war when cant afford to be selfless. similarly now with gigantic national debt cant afford to be charitable beofre paying all but a small remainder of the gigantic national debt which obabma increased almost double adding over five trillion dollars of debt.
in the months march april may the efforts were by the brit battles and despite achievements could have been for wake which japs conquered in dec. 1941 and HELD until the end. admittedly the airfields in marshal gave control so they did not need to risk battles in EVERY isle and for the same reason not delayed the attack on marianas until july 1944 over 3 months after landing troops in marshal. about gilberts see endnote.

june 16 MARIANAS
u.s. started pushing japs away and battled in marianas  a chain extending southward pointing at the eastward chain called caroline that japs took from german empire in october 1914. this was the first WISE strategy but delayed by the two year delay of marshal as above. only after marshal can they start isolating the dangerous navy base at truk on the east edge of caroline chain.
june 19, 1944, another SIGNIFICANT victory that deserved mention was the battle of "philipine sea" a bad name for sea in pacific west from marianas. this was before the "second" battle there in oct.
on june 19, over four hundred! 430 jap warplanes flew to attack u.s. navy. the navy ships were almost useless but u.s. warplane crews destroyed more than 200 j.w. in one day and two regular major aircraft carriers by submarine.
NAMED w.c.: shokaku and taiho these losses added to the four major lost in 1942. all four were hit june 4 (two sank that day and two the following day in 1942).
the battle continued and the total was over 300! of the 430. as above the total included two major jap avaition carriers cv that sank.
the japs started retreating and u.s. chased destroying another cv [minor] and nearly 100 warplanes in the total above. the price was huge  but only 1/3 of the jap total during these battles u.s. lost 130 warplanes and precious pilot lives and training too.
jap had lost many trained pilots before this battle. the short training of the pilots in this battle was outmatched by u.s. flyers.

___
in august they pushed further west toward GUAM in southwestern marianas, further isolating carolines and its supply lines and opening a path toward manila the large isle called philipines. aug. 11, '44 guam was freed from jap occupiers who  had conquered it in 1941 and occupied it temporarily for over two and half years. admittedly it was far from hawaii... in contrast to marshal and gilbert.
in sep. '44 effort was isles mol' west from n.g. delaying the caroline effort until sep. '44.
after marianas, liberating philipine isles was apt.
next the phil campaign in oct. '44. landing on eastern isles lyte and samar [book had error] which had the MAJOR SUCCESS OF SINKING SEVERAL MAJOR JAPANESE BATTLESHIPS around leyte isle in philipines isle group in pulag mountain region. and nearly forty smaller sunk.
in addition to HIEI j-ba' sunk November 13, 1942 and KIRISHIMA j-ba' sunk on November 15, 1942,  two years later in the leyte by pulag m.r. u.s. sank three major ja-ba:
musashi, j. ba' October 24th 1944, Sunk at sea between phil' isles.
fuso, j. ba' October 25th 1944 Sunk at sea by east phil' isle. same:
yamashiro, j.  ba'  October 25th 1944 Sunk at sea.
___
endnote background: until 1944 u.s. did only limited replying in aug 1942 waiting 8 months! before trying to chase away their attackers and not in the wake nor gilbert nor marcshal isles! despite the danger of jap airfields and warplanes and naval bases for example eni in kwaj in marshal isles. delayed too long.
similarly in 1942, after successful repel of jap by midway including sinking 4jcv hiryu suryo akagi kaga, jap continued attack in isles by west yukon rr. they successfully occupied many minor isles moving eastward toward alaska.
here too! not try to expel! dumb dem dnc pres made america last instead of pushing jap the attacker away from american bases. why because of "commitment" in solomon... truly bad strategy when dsanger by alaska even nearer than hawaii. only a dumb dem dnc would allow jap successes near alaska to spread. they even specified the delay by alaska due to the "commitment" of informed error !!! in june japs took aleution and spread near alaska and nearer to u.s.  than remoter solomon.  yet the forces were wrongly sent south in AUGUST two months after knowing about the danger near americans insted of the american strategic need to push away enemy dumb dem president sent forces FAR from america while danger  moved up the isles toward alaska attu kiska and less famed isles.
when reinforcements came with cruisers u.s. was too waek to repel and japs strengthened causing more deaths to americans later and the navy fled west! very harmful dumb dem. if kiska far then solomon further!.
finaly after wrongly waiting 8 months they started hitting back at the japanese to expel from isles but in the solomon isle area. admittedly a war fro resources is not important in gilbert any more than solomon but at least push them far away firrst. the choice of solomon did not serve the purpose of resources nor pushing away. even helping brit in india for resources in nan river region or chang river region would not serve pushing the attackers away first.
anyway the history as i summaarize again briefly: from august 1942 u.s. started expelling jap from some solomon isles. u.s. had significant victories... specificly capturing some airfields there so the jap could not use it for their dangerous warplanes nor even for supply but the reverse to serve the u.s. warplanes and u.s. ablity to supply.
two siginifcant naval victories deserve mention in nov. 1942 u.s. sunk 6 major jap warships FIVE cruiser type which are big and even one armored battleship. admittedly more thna ten battleships remained.
four months later the u.s. struck a convoy with another major victory but this should have been done all the months of resupplying and supplying and disturbing the strengthening of the isles.
alomst a YEAR after the limited action in gaudalacanal in the solomon chain u.s. started expelling from some more of the isles in the same region of solomon chain, july 1943 and a few isles by new ginee. u.s. helped brits in n.g. where they had already stopped the jap advance instead of using the same warplanes and soldiers to push the japanese away from the perimieter facing hawaii... and this error of wrongly helping the brits was in exchange for what? did the british help the u.s. at wake? they could not but truly the brits had scattered their nine battleships all around africa instead of "risking" them to gaurd their convoys gasp!!  they could send them to disturb the japanese preparation of defebnses in the pacific isles like floating guns to delay the building of bunkers and digging caverns which would cause the deaths of the americans later.
the brits were not helping but u.s. put america last not only its soldiers to help the brits and soviets after both had held the axis instead of its needs but also its strategy to put the allies first instead of the u.s. danger in pacific isles as above.
the u.s. activity in n.g. was unjustified and put america last in terms of strategy and life.
in the end of oct. u.s. attacked another of the many solomon isles... and only started expelling the "border zone" of gilberts in the end of nov. 1943.
by dec. 31 they captured an airbase in the same area this time by n.g. which served to help the brits in n.g. first before the u.s. needs in the wake gilbert and marshal which they ought to do in january 1942 not waiting until the end of 1943, for gilberts and even this isle by n.g. called cape g, was over two years after the war starteed at hawaii.
