The most popular and most successful cinema video this decade was star wars force awakens 2015. as will explained, ergo PRIORITY to know its story.... so i provide a better summary as explained, not only less talking but fixing flaws.
1, why priority?
it won even the later "successes" which were only "best of their year" relative to the lame videos that they competed with during each year. EVEN without "adjusting" the stronger dollars in 2015, still f.a. was bigger success than BOTH the top in 2019 and the top in 2018.
sw7 won Avengers: Endgame’ 2019, the TOP success 2019 despite this a.e. was top in its year and also even won by far the LAME black panther 2018, despite top in 2018... kuz:
a.e. 858m.d. [source imdb] far more than POOR-QUALITY story b.p. only 700m.d. verified two websites, far LESS than e. 858/854... still despite a.e. success by FAR 160 m.d. still sw7 with 936, beats both by far.
after 2019 success we see that b.p. was only top kuz competed with lame that year "winning" lame infinity war... ALSO by marvel poor quality but b.p. far less than a.e. and even a.e. far less than sw7. in fact b.p. so weak that when adjusting for dollar value, even jurasic world 2015 was a bigger success.
in contrast to those "successes" sw7, even Unadjusted domestic gross: $936.66 million, without "rounding up to 937 !! which is permitted.... far more than the "top" in both 2018 and 2019 just so you know how bad b.p. was only top kuz that year competed with marvel infinity war a different year than sw-f.a. now we know how much weaker those were and how much BETTER sw7 is.
2, summary
therefore priority to KNOW and summarize this popular video... however as i read the summaries that fans write there are so many flaws: flaws in continuity or worse emphasizing unseen parts, while ignoring the important "continuity" parts so i must not only whine but more importantly FIX the flawed summary with a better replacement:

intro: Approximately 30 years after Vader killed the Emperor, ending the Galactic Empire, (during the Battle of Endor), Luke Skywalker, the last known surviving Jedi Master, is hiding. Both the First Order, that rejects the new Republic, and the Resistance, a military force backed by the New Republic and led by Luke's twin sister, General Leia Organa, search the galaxy in an attempt to find him.
main characters: Poe and Rey
STORY: Poe Dameron, a Resistance pilot flew to the village of Tuanul on the desert planet Jakku. Poe meets with village elder Lor San Tekka, who has obtained a map to Luke Skywalker's location. During the meeting, First Order stormtroopers under the command of Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma attack the village. Poe runs with his astromech droid BB-8 towards the T-70 X-wing starfighter, but a pair of stormtroopers shoots the engines with their blasters. Poe gives the map to the BB unit that escapes. Poe returns fire to cover BB-8's escape.
Poe zaps stormtrooper FN-2003 with blaster fire. FN-2187 checks and finds his pal dying. FN-2003 smears his blood on FN-2187's helmet before dying, deeply affecting FN-2187.... more to come.
