Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (2010) is a video that continues the saga of the battle against the dark lord. this tells the story of finding and destroying the horcruxes that ensure voldemort cannot die. it ranked ffth so in top 5 of U.S. box office.
It follows the video "half blood prince" (2009) and has a sequel "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" (2011) that concludes the saga ending with the manner of Voldemort's expected defeat.
summary
Voldemort gathers information about Harry Potter's travel plans. Harry goes to a meeting where everybody transforms into harry's appearance using the potion. As they fly to hide Harry from voldemort, the death-eaters attack them, killing some. v attacks harry and blasts him with a different wand than before... but harry overcomes him.
harry goes to the secret location for a wedding until death eaters attack and burn stuff ruining the celebration. hermione leads them to magicly move to london where they talk in a small shop until
death eaters draw their wands. Harry sees and warns his friends so they duck for cover and quickly stupify one. the other blast at them as the trio return hexes until finally she hits the death eater. they erase the memories of the death eaters.
the trio follows the investigation until finding that umbridge has the real horcrux. they use a potion to change form into staff at the ministry and search for the horcrux. They see umbridge is wearing it. As she accuses a witch of stealing a wand, based on her parents not pure-blood, [if guilty voldemort has same flaw, half blood, in novel. v used their anger at half bloods to drive them and unite them hiding that v has the same flaw] harry stuns umbridge and hermioned grabs the necklace from her neck. the dementors and security chase them as they blast hexes at each other until the trio escapes. they take the horcrux away but cannot destroy it.
the evil magic causes the group to argue angrily and they Separate. yet desite not working together they will succeed. They go to the child room where harry lived when an infant and battle v's snake.
harry and hermione dance at night. they journey and search for the sword of gryffindor until harry saw a "patronus doe" who sent it? [in part two snape sent it to help harry]. it leads harry to a frozen lake containing the sword. as harry swims to the sword the horcrux pulls harry away from the sword and up where he almost drowns under the ice... ron returns [guided by the item dumbledore granted him] and saved harry. ron gets the sword and after harry said "open" in snake language parsel tong, the horcrux tries to convince ron not to help harry but ron destroys the horcrux. so harry had destroyed one ron now destroyes a second and a ring was destroyed too. only a few remain.
