in preparation for the "sweet" game axis and allies with the amazing shaped pieces there are naby improvements to change and improve the game to match reality.
*1 improvement 1 building troops is ALWAYS in the nations capital unless they build a factory therefore the no set-up factories on the map this saves a bit of setup time bkuz no factories nor useless anti-air guns in preparation until built during turn.
if no factories where build warplanes? only in capital until build factory which can be built in any region as an exception so later build forces at factory or capital. this small improvement is magnifiedd by other improvements
*2 in reality battleships were not effective and certainly not justly classed as probability 4/6 so no battleship marker for anybody in fact the only nation which has more than ten battleships was japan and if they "deserev" only 2 markers that shows a marker is a symbol of 5 or 6 if so no ally had ehnuf battleships for a marker! w had lost battleships and even in spring had less than 5 in pacific so no marker! and combine with reality that not effective even in second wave of pearl harbor battle when expecting and many guns certainly not a separate marker and certainly not 4/6 probability so no nation gets any battle-ship marker not even japan which deserves it iunstead less set-up and no building ba. either for anybody instead the "transport" marker includes the unmarked battleships inckluded in the probability 2/6 and only for defense but for attacks only 'allows' landing from sea. not effective to kill troops in bunkers. so no set up of battle-ship markers nor factory markers. this set-up is imporved with next third time saver-
*3 no "mopney" at start of game instead at the start of each turn only at start the nation counts the regions it "has not lost" and gets potetntial and together builds immediately this ismore realistic considering reality that the losers blew up bridges and scorched earth as they were defeated. his affatcs to changes "not getting" at start of game nor end of trun bkuz capture only wins the land but the land is ruined like reality and also affects rule of capturing capital which is bad rule capturing capital cannot give potential for same reason scorcehed earth policy the captor would find only broken stuff and burned ashes from the paper money.
combined these 3 adjustments both make the game more realistic and relatively less preparation-time.
other setup improbvenm,ents should be the BALANCE in muscva rifer region considering that the nazi attacked and lost so remain 7 units of 100,000 soldiers matching the remains of soviets that winter so both should have same number of markers so accept nazi 3 markers in ukraine to symbolize 700,000 if so also soviet same defending neighbor adjacent region with 3 units and same balance one tank for each and one plane for each side and truly the total defence included moscow and leningrad so one region which also fix name muscva river region from black "gulf" [instead of bad name sea because truly a "gulf"] to arctic ocean between the northen edjes of continents.
so also set up justly 3 rifle for soviets in muscva river region adjacent to dnepr r.r. each balancesd 3 rifle 1 tank 1 plane and not mnore for soviets which would be unjust and and not historically coreect so these are 4 improvements in set up and the date is december 15 of 1941 each turn one month .
