spring 1775 rebellion started colonists "poured hot tar on tax collecters" to avoid paying and to scare the tax collectors away. april 19 brit from boston ms' attacked rebels. brit army came to lexington ms' shot at each other. actions showed that the colony hated tax. at first loyal to king but mad at parliament for policy. later a book taught monarchy mon means one leader king bad system so revolt.
what led to this battle?

brit to concord ms' exchanged fire. brits successfully destroyed colony weapons. then began marching back but along road twenty mile march to boston, militia meaning small groups with rifles, surprised and shot from both sidess many times. by the time the survivors of brit reached fort boston, missing almost 300 kuz 73 dead and 200 more wounded.
