SOON, next week the date called jan. 8, in new york city will occur a change in the sun cycle. adding "morning light time" at the sea sunrise as the horizon sets down.
for over a week the sunrise is at an extreme "nearest" to noon. sunrise time changes annually to measurably earlier than the day before. this pattern continues adding light until June and the night shrinks in length in n.y.c.
is that added light a birth for the sun cycle? no the total of the day length should define the start of the cycle which is before the change in the added morning light, already the total added light had increased. so this is not the start of the cycle but merely a change in the cycle.
