summary of superman 1978

summary of superman 1978 part ONE: minutes 0:01 until minute 26:00

in June, 1938 in metropolis, that is a city parallel to our earth's new york city but on a different parallel earth... a kid read that a newspaper reported about the money problems. away from earth "past the moon" and far away from earth is a red star with a planet. it should say the name krypton. in a court case they accused some people of rebelling against the government. court bla bla. guilty guilty they imprisoned the rebel leaders in a flying gateway.

next the guy, pa of superman warned them that the planet will "explode" so we must value lives and escape. they are stubborn and threaten him with the same punishment so he will shut up. separating from their baby is emotional... pause... but he flew to safety and the planet shook and crumbled and people fell and finally he was correct that the planet exploded.

the space vehicle flew to earth and came down over a field."

now you can continue at minute 26! "dont interfere with human history. crash landing. superboy held and lifted car. and... within ten minutes... running faster than a train. the stories are independent at different ages.

part TWO

a four year old [traveled "3 years"] climbed out of the charred crater. when the guy was changing the flat tire, the car tipped and four year old super boy held the car and even LIFTED IT to help change the tire.

next in high school, brats were mean to superboy. to express his frustration he super-kicked a ball. next he ran faster than a train. [in a deleted scene re-added lois lane a young girl saw his speed. the adults dont believe her.]

clark talked with his adoptive pa. they run until pa had a heart attack so the funeral occurred. at night clark heard something and found the green crystal. he went [maybe ran as above?] to the ice floating on water of the north polar region. the crystal built an amazing ice crystal fortress m49]. more talking and FINALLY superman flew [m59]. yay.

in a city somebody came to a newspaper office. clark started working and met boss and lois and jimmy. [note: meeting characters is important in a story]. on the way out from work a mugger threatened lois. she tried to kick his gun away so he shot at her... superman caught the bullet. [1:06-7].

end part two.

part THREE lex's plot

a guy was walking. cops watched. he walked along subway tracks. a cop followed. the guy went to the secret entrance that pulled back so he could enter and turn aside. it closed. cop tried to do the same but as a train neared lex used the door to push him into the train. the secret will never be known.

clark and lois leave work. lois entered a helicopter. it got caught on a cable and damaged. it was leaning at the edge of the roof.

lois slid out and was hanging. superman used his powers as a hero. he flew up and saved her...  as she was falling. not everyone is a hero nor can be one. [the idea of hero can manipulate but it depends how so hero idea alone not harmful] as he flew her up to the roof... danger! the copter fell toward him... he was strong enuf to catch it and propel himself with the copter and its pilot and lady to safety on the roof. this time he saved a lady later in the same story a lady will save him.

superman used his abilities to fight crime stopping a burglar on the outside of a tall tower. chasing criminals and bringing them to police and even saving a cat from a tree.

the presidential jet came so lois can interview prez, but lightning destroyed an engine superman saved their lives from crashing.

boss at paper wants info so superman went to lois for interview. they talk and flew together. til 2:00. lex understood "since krypton exploded 1948+3 years travel [through worm hole and six galaxies and their space in videos] search for a strange meteor in 1951 he found it with strange radiation.
