James Bond 007, a british secret agent, was lucky to survive poisoning [in previous book]. he investigated the disappearance of 2 brit agents in Jamaica.+ There, he noticed that his hotel room was searched, and noticed a basket with poisoned fruit. Later, a deadly centipede crawled in his bed while sleeping. he learnt that an aircraft had crashed on Dr. No's airstrip which killed two representatives of a bird society. rumors claimd that a deadly dragon was roaming on his isle.
Bond cruised with Quarrel to no's isle, where they met miss Honeychile Rider who often visited the island to collect valuable shells. the "dragon" a flame-throwing, armored swamp vehicle, came near and burnt Quarrel to death. Bond and Honey got captured by Dr No's thugs.
doc told Bond "i helpd soviets by interfering with u.s. missile tests.

Bond piled guano powder on Dr. No to kill the villain. he drove the dragon with her into a lake and shot the dogs. the brit governor cleaned the island ending the threat.
